Included in every clean
Tracks, sills & frames in the Lockyer Valley.
Included in every clean. Here's why it matters.
At GWC, tracks, sills and frames are included in every single clean. This isn't a service you add on, it's the standard the whole business is built on, and this page exists so you know exactly what a proper clean should include before you book with anyone.
Plenty of cleaners quote you for the glass and quietly skip the part of the window you actually touch: the tracks your doors slide through, the sills that catch every dead bug and dust storm, the frames that hold the lot together.
It's the most common corner cut in window cleaning, because it's the slowest part of the job. Which is exactly why GWC includes it: a shiny pane in a filthy frame isn't a finished window, and everyone who's wiped a 'professionally cleaned' sill knows it.
So when you compare quotes, ask the other bloke what happens to the tracks. Then ask why it costs extra.
What the detailing covers
- Tracks brushed, vacuum-detailed and wiped
- Sills cleared of dust, bugs and cobwebs
- Frames wiped down inside and out
- Sliding door tracks done properly, not just rinsed
- Weep holes checked so water drains as designed
- All of it included in every GWC clean, always

Fair questions
Tracks, sills & frames FAQs.
Is this really included, no catch?
Included, every clean, every time. The job is priced as one proper clean, and tracks, sills and frames are part of what a proper clean means here. There's no version of a GWC clean without it.
My tracks are shocking. Is that extra?
Normal build-up, even years of it, is just part of the job. Genuinely extreme cases like post-renovation grit or caked mud get flagged honestly in your quote first, never sprung on you after.
Why do other cleaners charge extra for this?
Because it's the slowest part of the job, so it's the first thing squeezed out of a cheap quote. Skipping it makes a quote look better and the finished window worse.
Do clean tracks actually matter?
Yes, and not just for looks. Gritty tracks chew through rollers and make doors heavy, and blocked weep holes trap water where it shouldn't sit. Clean tracks are cheaper than new rollers.
What about louvres and odd windows?
Louvres, awning windows and the Valley's many creative window choices all get the same treatment: glass, frame and moving parts, done properly and checked before moving on.
Do you do this on commercial jobs too?
Yes, the standard is the standard. Shopfront tracks and sills collect main-street grit fast, and they're detailed on every commercial visit just like homes.
